Sony/ATV Music Publishing has appointed Paul Williams as Vice President, Communications. He will officially join the company on April 14 and will report to Martin Bandier, Chairman & CEO of Sony/ATV. Veteran industry exec Sylvia Rhone has been named as the new President of Sony Music’s Epic Records. Rhone previously joined Sony Music in 2013 when she launched Vested In Culture, her label imprint under Sony. Rhone, previously President of Universal Motown Records and Chairman/CEO of Elektra Entertainment Group, will continue to report to Epic’s Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid. Downtown Music Publishing has announced the opening of a new office in London after opening offices in LA and Nashville earlier this year. SoundExchange, the performance rights organization responsible for collecting on royalties generated by companies such as Pandora, has named a new chief financial officer. Anjula Singh, who previously held the organization’s post as SVP of Finance and Administration, has been appointed as the new CFO. Also at SoundExchange, Colin Rushing, the organization’s general counsel, will be adding the senior vice president title to his current duties.
