Dave Grohl, Jack Black, Val Kilmer form spoof band Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs

Grohl, Black and Kilmer perform ‘Back To The Beginning’ as part of Yahoo’s web series, Ghost Ghirls, which is produced by Black and can be seen here. In the latest episode of the series the trio play characters haunting a recording studio that the Ghost Ghirls are called upon to investigate. They bring the band together for one last performance of their song, ‘Back To The Beginning’.

‘Back To The Beginning’ appears on the official Ghost Ghirls EP, which can be downloaded now via iTunes. The four song release also features another Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs song titled ‘Georgia Peach’.

Earlier this year Dave Grohl revealed that the new Foo Fighters album has now been written. Grohl has previously teased that the band’s next album, the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Wasting Light’, will “not be a conventional record”.

Speaking in June (2013), Grohl’s bandmate Taylor Hawkins revealed that the frontman’s brain was “working overtime” on the new Foo Fighters album. “He’s got a lot of great ideas, both musically and conceptually, none that I can speak of at this moment, but it’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be cool,” Hawkins said.
