Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst developing TV drama based on his life

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is working on a TV series of his own life, according to reports. Durst is reportedly working with CBS on a show titled ‘The Noise’, which depicts the life of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tough home life and forms a hugely succesful band. It is the second time Durst has developed a TV show with the network, having previously worked on a sitcom titled Douchebag in 2011.

TV Guide reports that Durst will be a co-executive producer on the script, which is being written by Miles Feld. Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum are executive producers on the series. While Limp Bizkit is still an ongoing concern, Durst has moved further into directing and producing in recent years and also made a cameo appearance in front of the camera in an episode of House opposite Hugh Laurie.

In May of this year, Durst revealed that they had been working on two projects since signing to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money label: a studio album titled ‘Stampede Of The Disco Elephants’, and a follow-up to their 2005 EP ‘The Unquestionable Truth Part 1’.

Last December, Limp Bizkit said goodbye to their old record label, Interscope, following poor album sales from their last LP ‘Gold Cobra’.
