Reinventing Metal: The True Story of Pantera and the Tragically Short Life of Dimebag Darrell (Book by Neil Daniels) – Backbeat Books)
This in an in depth storytelling of the Pantera history and the drama that surrounded the band during and after their split. Neil Daniels, the author, is an experienced «explorer» of the rock and metal music so his signature is a must for every book he writes. The writing style is close to the average fan’s vocabulary and it leads the reader exactly to the meaning without being boring . The book is divided into three parts: 1. The Glam Metal Years, 2. Southern Cowboys From Hell, 3. The Great Southern Trendkillers. Each part describes a different era of Pantera and derives from sources such as magazine articles and of course interviews that Neil Daniels conducted. To the best of my knowledge this the fourth book on Pantera , however this effort is a fair one by respecting the fans and the band history.
