CERNA – Restoring life (Domestic Genocide)

This is an instrumental act that pays tribute to the atmospheric rock music and genres such as post rock and Black metal. The music is dark and aggresive but the flow is pleasant and you will be able to hear the whole album from the beginning to the end. There is no additional info that provides us with information if this is a concept album but I think that behind the music exists an interesting story. According to Cody McCoy, the leader of the band: “Creating intrumental music brings alot of opportunity to take off in melody with the array of different instruments. Conceptually Černá deals with the climb of everyday life and its devastating realism, melancholy, nostalgia, and self-reflection yet taking a lot of inspiration from the beauty of the ever changing seasons along with the concept of love and loss.” The focus of the album is the distorted guitar sound which adds a creeping element to the atmosphere. It worths listening to this album, keep an eye on it.
