Grammy Nomniated Singer-songwriter Seth Glier Raises $8k For Autism Speaks

MPress Records artist Seth Glier has raise over $8,000 for non-profit organization Autism Speaks. The Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist spent his 2013 CD release tour for Things I Should Let You Know raising awareness for the organization with which he has a personal connection. “My older brother Jamie is autistic. I want to help spread awareness and raise funds that help organizations like Autism Speaks to make life easier, promote inclusion and equality for autistic individuals and their families.”

On his own, Seth has raised $8,000 for the organization. Through the text-to-donate numbers that he helped set up, which are compatible with all of the major cell phone service providers, Autism Speaks continues to raise funds by sharing those text codes with other spokespersons.

Right after Memorial Day, Seth joins Grammy Award winner Edwin McCain for shows in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Then hits the road with American-rock n’ roll songwriter Stephen Kellogg for a weeklong stint on the East Coast. His touring schedule continues to grow with new dates added though 2014 and a spot on the bill for the Cayamo Cruise 2014. A unique musical experience, Cayamo takes concertgoers aboard the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship in Miami and travels to the British Virgin Islands. Seth joins the lineup with artists such as John Prine, Brandi Carlile, Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby and more, for the 7th edition of Cayamo February 7-14, 2014.

More about Seth Glier:

ince first signing with MPress Records at the age of 19, Seth has gone from opening act to headlining his own shows and playing major folk festivals. He’s shared the stage with artists as diverse as James Taylor, Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, Emmylou Harris and Ryan Adams and has quickly become known for his passionate live sets. His music has also caught the ears of fans, industry and critics alike with USA Today stating that his ‘exquisite tenor echoes Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.” The incredible acclaim on his sophomore record, “The Next Right Thing”, led to a Grammy nomination, a first for both himself and his New York based label, MPress Records.

His new release, Things I Should Let You Know landed him his first Daytrotter session and incredible reviews with M Music & Musicians raving “his polished tenor vocals and natural affinity for creating shimmering, seductive melodies, singer-songwriter Seth Glier knows how to sway the sentiments of his listeners” and Blurt Magazine exclaiming “Glier’s greatest gift is for providing nuance, which is yet another reason why ‘Things I Should Let You Know” is nothing less of a revelation.” Check out his most music video for “Things I Should Let You Know” on Paste and see why USA Today made “Man I Used To Be” their Song of the Week.
