Black Sabbath open to idea of making another album after ’13’

Black Sabbath have admitted they could potentially make another album together.

The band’s new album ’13’ is streaming online now and will be released officially on Monday (June 10). It’s the first record Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler have recorded together since 1978’s ‘Never Say Die!’.

During a new interview with Billboard, Butler referred to ’13’ as the band’s “final” album, but when pushed he replied: “Well, I guess you should never say never. It could be, though. We’ll see how this album goes, see what happens.”

Then Osbourne added wryly: “Let’s put it this way; it’s taken us 35 years to do this one.” He then revealed he is open to the idea of making more music with the band. “So if there’s gonna be (another) album there’s gonna be an album, but I don’t want to say if there’s going to be a follow-up. I wouldn’t mind doing another Sabbath album with them, though,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sabbath have announced a UK arena tour for December 2013. The band will kick off the tour at London’s O2 Arena on December 12, before calling in at Belfast, Sheffield, Glasgow and Manchester and rounding off with a homecoming show at Birmingham’s LG Arena on December 20.
