Artisthead Music Presents Jessie Evans “Is It Fire?”

Jessie Evans, born in America and now residing in Berlin, Germany is a songwriter, singer, saxophonist and record producer. Her first solo album “IS IT FIRE?” was recorded between Berlin and Mexico, and features live drums/percussion by Toby Dammit (Iggy Pop, Swans) with guest musicians Budgie (The Creatures, Siouxsie and The Banshees), Martin Wenk (Calexico), and Namosh. Recorded in Berlin by Thomas Stern (Einstόrzende Neubauten, Crime and The City Solution) and mixed/co-produced in Tijuana by Pepe Mogt (Nortec Collective). Jessie Evans’ music exudes an alluring and unique mix of afro-beat, pop and electro styles.
