Southern Illinois Rockers DoubleWide Debris Sets Out To Make History With Their Unique Blend Of Kick-Ass Southern Rock
With an outlaw blend of kick-ass southern rock with a touch of a country rock flare, DoubleWide Debris, a well-known rock act from southern Illinois is setting out to put themselves on the map of successful regional rock acts.
With the widely successful release of their debut full length album Seven Days to Someday produced by DWD and recorded, engineered, and co-produced by Dana Anthis, of Anthis Productions, firmly under their belt, the band has recently completed their sophomore effort; a new project close to their hearts and of course their souls.
The new release will be accompanied by a professional music video featuring a track from the upcoming album called Stuck in this Truck. The new record is earmarked to hit the streets sometime in late May or early June of this year. The release date will be announced in the music media by the label, Big Red Truck Records once the firm street date has been confirmed.
DoubleWide Debris, is a name that demonstrates the obvious sense of humor from this original rock band. Their songs reflect their ranging musical influences from classic rock to traditional country.
Its hard to confine DoubleWide Debris to one genre. Americana, southern rock, and alternative country have been used by some fans and the industry media, to describe the bands original music. One thing is for certain, their signature sound is unique and one of a kind. When it starts playing there is no mistake; thats DoubleWide Debris. The genre emphasis is firmly rooted in southern rock and outlaw country.
Founding members Mark Chapman and Carson Baker started DoubleWide Debris in 2008 as an acoustic duo with Mark doing a majority of the vocals backed by Carsons solid rhythm. They were quickly joined by Marks son, Keith, on electric lead guitar to add another dimension to the unplugged interpretations. A new idea and direction was beginning to form which brought about the next addition to the group. Having heard Traci Carter sing in her unique style for many years, Mark offered Traci an opportunity to take over lead vocals. She accepted and immediately changed the bands dynamics with her smooth to saucy vocals.
Seven More Days to Someday, released through the bands independent label, can be found on over 22,000 AMI jukeboxes nationwide. The label, Big Red Truck, has also released the single Pond Creek both nationally and internationally to over 5,000 broadcast, online, and satellite radio stations. With spins now starting to number in the thousands DoubleWide Debris has been hitting the road in support of their records.
They have been touring the Midwest and Southeastern United States and currently have some 2013 dates in the Western part of the country being added. An Australian tour is being organized also for 2013.
