Rock Group Prestor John Set To Release New LP
Prestor John is proud to announce their upcoming LP due to out on June 1st, 2013. Their self-titled release, Prestor John will be available for download on June 1st on iTunes and other major digital distributors.
Based out of Monroe Louisiana, rock group Prestor John band formed in 2010 with one goal in mind, and that is to get their audiences to dance. The band accomplishes their mission with groovy electrified riffs interlaced through a whirlwind of percussion and hypnotic crooning: a formula the band has affectionately come to call the boogie.
The band has also announced future appearances including:
April 27th: Standpipe Coffee House in Lufkin, TX at 8:00 pm
June 1st: Enochs in Monroe, LA at 7:00 pm

A spokesman for the group said this about the band, Prestor Johns live performances are fearless, as they perform via a large spectrum of sounds and tones while Jimmie Bryants vocals offer a continuously evolving sonic explosion of self-expression. This allows them to work well in tandem with many different bands. Prestor has performed from New Orleans to Salt Lake City and shared the stage with notable artists Big John Bates and Dax Riggs among others.
Prestor John is primarily the brain child of Jimmie Bryant with rotating members. Current members of the group include: Jimmy Bryant who sings vocals and plays guitar and violin, Mitch Laing who plays bass and acoustic guitar, and Dennis Smith on drums.
April Kelley of the ULM Hawkey said this about Prestor John in a recent review of their music, Constant irrefutable rhythms, soft melodies, and hardcore riffs, strewn together beautifully. From ridiculously funky to ridiculously hard rock, with a handful of soul and orchestral music, Prestor John threw everything into the melting pot and carried the listeners high amongst the majesty of the waving, powerful vibrations.
The group and their style of music are often compared to Cream, Sweethead and Jethro Tull.
Prestor John plays in Louisiana but intends to spend more time at different venues throughout the US, and the group is very excited that new fans are seeking them out to discover their unique and authentically energized style of rock music. The group currently enjoys a rapidly growing fan base.
