DANKO JONES Joins the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival Line-Up
DANKO JONES is incredibly pleased to announce that the band will be performing as part of this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival! Together with Alice In Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Coheed And Cambria, Circa Survive, Walking Papers, Middle Class Rut, New Politics and The Chuck Shaffer Picture Show, they will travel North America to rock stadiums and amphitheaters alike from August 13th and on. Tickets for most Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival shows go on sale Thursday, April 25th at Noon local time and are affordably priced between $10.25 and $89.75 (plus fees). Go to www.RockstarUPROAR.com and www.LiveNation.com for full details and to purchase tickets.
Starting on the east coast and ending on the west, Danko will miss the first three shows due to festival commitments in Europe and will join up in Saratoga, NY for a run of 20 shows. Following their hugely successful run supporting Volbeat, this will be the biggest tour of North America ever for the band and comes on the back of heavy radio rotation for ‘Just A Beautiful Day’. The lead single off their album Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue peaked at a career high #26 on the Active Rock chart in the US and a new single will be serviced to radio shortly.

DANKO JONES has posted the new music video for the track ‘I Believed in God’ on their YouTube page, starring Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin Williams) and Jason Trost (featured in the ‘Full of Regret’ and ‘I Think Bad Thoughts’ videos and writer / director / star of movies like The FP and Vs) in a love story… of sorts. Check out the video here: http://youtu.be/iLjwYpyGDZI The video is directed by the Diamond Bros, who are also responsible for the band’s four previous videos as well as “Bring On The Mountain” – the much heralded documentary that was released last year.
The video was shot in Los Angeles and enlisted a production crew worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster with previous credits including Looper, Men In Black, Predator 2 and many more. Directors of photography were Kenny Stoff and Jessica Young who also did Dave Grohl’s Sound City documentary. For a behind the scenes look on the shoot, check out the clip below:
