Robert Plant criticises ‘draconian’ security’

Robert Plant criticised the heavy handed efforts of some security staff in Auckland after fans were prevented from getting up to dance.

The New Zealand Herald reports that the former Led Zeppelin singer complained from stage about “draconian” security at the Vector Arena show. He was irritated that fans weren’t able to stand against the front railing at the arena without coming into conflict with security.

“I’m nearly 65 years old, I’m hardly going to start a riot,” he said.

Some fans complained that they were ejected from the (seated) venue. The price of the best tickets was £85.
