Universal Music Group Appoints Frank Briegmann President Of Central Europe
Max Hole, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group International, announced that Frank Briegmann has been appointed President of Central Europe. Briegmann will become Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Germany and, in addition to managing Switzerland, Austria and Deutsche Grammophon, his region will expand to cover Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries. Based in Berlin, he will also join UMGI’s International Management Board.
Under Briegmann’s leadership, Universal Music Germany has become the undisputed number one in the market, with an enviable track record of delivering impressive results for both international and local artists. He and his team have built the company into an A&R powerhouse, which is home to top selling artists including Adoro, David Garrett, Ich+Ich, Lena, Max Herre, Rea Garvey and Unheilig, to name but a few.
