Hard Rock veterans THE MIGHTY SWINE were nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award in the Hard Rock Category for 2013. Featuring Cincinnati icon, Mike Skimmerhorn (CJSS/Chastain/The Mighty Swine) THE MIGHTY SWINE have enjoyed regional success since the release of their debut CD in 2009, opening for such legends as; Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Skid Row, LA Guns, Adlers Appetite, Texas Hippie Coalition, and more as well as completing two (2) Midwest Tours (Let ’em Eat Swine 2009 Tour and 2010 – Let’s Do It Again Tour). More recently, THE MIGHTY SWINE released it’s first video for LUST in April 2012 gaining over 20,000 youtubes views as well as maintaining the #1 spot on Roxwel’s Rock AND Metal Charts for 13 weeks. It is still currently #2 on the Metal Chart (week ending Dec. 8, 2012). Lust, along with the singles Pagan Holiday and Love Dies, are enjoying radio airplay nationally on such syndicated radio shows like Brian Basher’s Hard Rock Nights and others. (Their first single, Layin’ Down the Law was listed as one of Hard Rock Nights Best of 2009 songs).

The annual celebration of Greater Cincinnati’s rich music scene commences with the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards (CEAs), and is a very prestigious event for the Greater Cincinnati Tri State area, and all the musicians who make up the Cincinnati Music Scene.

The 16th annual CEA ceremony will be held at Covington’s Madison Theater on Jan. 27, featuring more live performances than ever and first-time host Ted Clark, known for his monthly “live chat show” Ted Clark After Dark. Ted will present a special edition of Ted Clark After Dark at the after-party, this year held at The Loft, just around the corner from the Madison and above Tickets (the former home to the Rock club Radio Down). The after-party will also include the annual “Trashies,” presented by members of local Indie Pop legends The Fairmount Girls and honoring the best/worst/weirdest-dressed CEA attendees.
