Kenny Rogers and Warner Bros reunite in long-term deal


Multiple award-winning country music singer-songwriter Kenny Rogers, has signed a long-term deal with former label Warner Bros.

Rogers revealed the news this week during his first of two sold-out performances at the Ford Theater in Nashville, as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s 2012 artist-in-residence.
The veteran celebrated his 50th year in the industry in 2008 and is recording new music with his next album, produced by Dann Huff and scheduled for release later this year.

Over his long career, Rogers has sold more than 120 million records worldwide and recorded more than 65 albums – two of which were voted in the poll on The 200 Most Influential Country Albums Ever, by About.com.

His Greatest Hits album has sold over 24 million copies worldwide to date and he is the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) eighth best-selling male artist of all time with one Diamond album, 19 Platinum albums and 31 Gold albums.

Commenting on the deal, Rogers said: “I’m looking forward to returning home to Warner Bros. Records after all these years,
