Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull and AIR join Open EMI
AIR and prog rock band Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull have launched new developer sandboxes via EMI’s OpenEMI platform, run in partnership with The Echo Nest.
The sandboxes offer a wealth of digital content from both acts and are available immediately for The Echo Nest’s network of over 10,000 developers to start work on new digital ideas for the artists.
With this year marking Tull frontman Ian Anderson’s 44th year in the business, the Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull sandbox contains four decades worth of music including 35 studio and live albums plus digital remasters, artwork, photos, video stills and biographies.
AIR’s sandbox will feature all of their studio albums including ‘Moon Safari’, ‘Talkie Walkie’ and their latest album ‘Le Voyage dans la Lune’. Also included are remixes and rarities albums, video singles and other visual material plus artwork, photos and promotional graphics.
“We are pleased to be able to offer content from AIR and Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull to developers through our OpenEMI platform today,” said VP Digital Projects Neil Tinegate.
“It demonstrates how OpenEMI can benefit artists from different genres and backgrounds, and we look forward to bringing some highly creative and innovative products to the market.”
