Willie Nelson signs Legacy Recordings deal, five new albums confirmed

Willie Nelson has signed a deal with Legacy Recordings.
The deal will see new records, live performances and archival releases personally curated by the artist released under the imprint.

Five new Willie Nelson albums will be put out as part of the deal in total with the first set for spring this year.

It’s also something of a homecoming for the American legend, who had a number of top-selling singles and albums for Columbia Records between 1975-1993.

“I’m really happy to be back home with Sony Music. We have been partners for many years; all the way back to Pamper and Tree Music,” said Nelson. “We share a great history, and I’m looking forward to many more years together.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to work with Willie on this landmark partnership,” said Legacy Recordings executive VP and general manager Adam Block.

“There’s a natural and organic relationship between new recording projects and catalog activity that promises to ensure the lasting importance of Willie and his music.”
