Prog/jam band hit the road for Southwest tour with special guest horn section


Las Vegas-based jam/prog band Moksha will be hitting the road in February for a string of shows in support of their current album, Here to Go, which features the production skills of four-time Grammy winner James “Banzai” Caruso.

The quintet will be featuring a backing horn section including Hieroglyphics Ensemble jazz fusionist Peter Apfelbaum on saxophone, Jennifer Hartswick of Trey Anastasio Band/70 Volt and sax player Skerik, who has toured with Les Claypool, Roger Waters, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Bonnie Raitt and more.

Playing music that the Los Angeles Times called “groove-centric experimental rock,“ Moksha has been picking up a lot of press attention and international radio play for their live shows and recently-released album, Here to Go. England’s Get Ready to Rock radio show called the tracks “highly addictive,” while Chicago-based Music Street Journal called Here to Go “a sound that’s just plain impressive.” Campus Circle cited the bands “whirlwind sound” while prog site Sea of Tranquility noted “this of album is full dramatic and moving movements.” European mega-site Paris DJs lauded Moksha for having a “sound uniquely their own” while legendary German prog rock DJ Lord Litter added the American group to the #2 slot of his radio play list.
