WARNER ILG TAPS KOSHER METAL’S ROKU CHANNEL

Warner Music Group’s ILG (Independent Label Group) have developed a new relationship with the Kosher Metal Roku Channel, the official channel of Los Angeles, California based online radio station Kosher Metal. On the channel, Roku users can watch various music videos from Independent and Label artists. Additional information on the channel and how users can add it can be found at www.koshermetal.com/roku

ILG was formed in 2004 and is owned by Warner Music Group. The company functions as an umbrella for several Warner auxiliary labels, including Ferret Music.

Kosher Metal is primarily an online radio station that can be heard via the web along with most mobile devices, the term “kosher” is used in its informal/slang form to mean “genuine, authentic & legitimate”. What began as a weekly radio program in June 2010 became a 24 hour operation in April of 2011 and Kosher Metal continues to evolve with growth. The station released their official public Roku channel on November 30th, 2011 in effort to expose bands to a broader audience; it has been installed on over 4,800 devices as of this writing.
