The first single release by UK artist Bo Walton featuring Mark Knopfler.

Almost every weekend in the late 1950s, clubs and dance halls across the UK were packed with music lovers, watching, listening and dancing to a new phenomenon: Rock ’n’ Roll.
Well, rock ’n’ roll is back – but with a modern twist – and singer/songwriter Bo Walton is soon to be at the forefront of the revival. His first single will be released on 24 November 2011. The double A side “’S TOO MUCH” and “HEY MISTER NIGHT” features legendary guitarists Micky Gee and Mark Knopfler respectively.

Bo Walton is based in Hereford and currently fronts a rockabilly band that plays all over the UK. He has just been signed as a solo performer to music publisher Tabitha Music and its associated record label. His debut single in November will be followed by an already-recorded album in February 2012.

Bo’s musical and vocal style is an edgy mix of rockabilly and country, and the single and all the songs on the album have been co-written with John David. John has previously written hit songs for Status Quo, Cliff Richard and many more, and he has worked with Dire Straits, Robert Plant, T’Pau and numerous other artists at his Berry Hill Studio in Gloucestershire.

Graham Sclater, CEO of Tabitha Records, said: “When I heard Bo’s excellent voice and range, not to mention the quality of his songs and the musicianship, I couldn’t resist signing him to a three-album deal. Together, Bo Walton and John David have achieved something very rare these days: a modern rock ’n’ roll sound, but with a timeless live feel.”

Bo Walton will be carrying out radio interviews throughout the UK during November, and live dates are planned for the UK and Europe to tie in with the release.
