Chicago Psych Rockers Drop New Album And Documentary
Chicago-based psychedelic group Umbra and the Volcan Siege announce the release of a limited edition vinyl LP entitled “The End of the Beginning,” and an accompanying video documentary directed by Eric Richter, who has shot promotional clips for Victory Records.
“The End of the of the Beginning” was recorded live at Volcan Gallery by Tim Sandusky (Bound Stems, Oucho Sparks) and Umbra band leader Jim Licka. Licka also wrote the songs and created the LP artwork, with layout by Phil Lassa. The album features Licka and Curtis Evans on mellotron and guitar, Dave Gallagher and Dave Bowers on guitars, Darren Shepherd on drums and Brett Bakshis on bass.
The video documentary features interviews with all members of Umbra and the Volcan Siege, along with footage of the band performing live at Volcan Gallery.
