JOHN TAGLIERI TOURS EUROPE PERFORMING FOR THE U.S. NAVY
Indie singer/songwriter/musician John Taglieri recently spent a week in March touring Europe at the invite of the US Navy. Taglieri performed for troops at Souda Bay Naval Station in Crete, Greece, at Naples Naval Station in Naples, Italy and at Sigonella Naval Base in Catania, Sicily.
The shows were at on base pubs, and were high energy interactive performances, letting the troops forget where they were for a night and just have a taste of home brought their way.
One group of sailors in Naples said “We felt like we were back home in our favorite bar on a Friday night just tearing it up with our friends.” And that’s what this trip was all about. Taglieri traveled through Amsterdam, Athens, Chania, Rome, Naples and Catania. performing a total of four shows during his visit, doing meet and greets, and radio and TV interviews on Armed Forces Entertainment along the way.
It was a whirlwind week of non-stop traveling, and performing and as Taglieri puts it, “one of the most rewarding and amazing weeks of my life and career.” Taglieri has done several Stateside shows for the military as well, performing at Norfolk Naval Base, Camp LeJeune, Fort Sam Houston, Fort Stewart and more. “No shows I do ever compare to the amazing vibe and energy of the shows for the military. They truly appreciate the shows and the time we take to go perform for them and I love these shows more than anything.”
