Motorhead man joins Girlschool and Rudy Sarzo on charity single

Livewire Youth Music is a charity based in Saltash Cornwall UK, it works with young people aged 13 to 21 and uses music and primarily rock music to engage young people and create opportunities for them…

Last year when the earthquake devastated Haiti we knew we needed to do something and MUSIC was the only thing we could offer.
The purpose of the charity single ‘Emergency Haiti 2010’ is to raise enough money to rebuild a school in Haiti, if we get enough sales maybe even a music specialist school…………… Once we have raised the money we will work in partnership with Rotary International to carry out the work..
In addition to the project helping Haiti, at the beginning of this journey we decided to dedicated the track to the memory of a wonderful man Ronnie James Dio and Queen of Rock n Roll Kelly Johnson (Girlschool)…

We spoke to Girlschool about us covering their 1980’s hit Emergency and they graciously agreed.
We then set about contacti ng a few people to come on as guests, so a fun and perilous voyage began!!!!!! We won some and lost some along the way but we ended up with the perfect line up for this track……
25 young musicians from Livewire, Lemmy (Motorhead), Girlschool and Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, B.O.C)….. and so the record came together, from studio’s in LA, Wales and Saltash we pulled together the track.

The single was released on 25 February in all good download stores. The proceeds will go to help rebuild a school in Haiti.
