Hair Metal – Beautiful Beast members revealed

About six weeks from the scheduled release date we have two more songs to go before we’ll send them all to Empire Studios, Germany, to have them mixed by Empire-/Tony Martin guitarist Rolf Munkes. We will be shooting for a typical late-80s sound with loads of reverb, room and whatever made the music sound so great back then. We take no prisoners. The whole album will look, sound and feel like it’s 1989: 80s production, no lyrics about things that happened after 1989, trashy cover design, of course the music – and we’re thinking about using a regular black cd tray instead of the new transparent ones. In the meantime, here’s me and my fellow musicians that are now “Beautiful Beast”. The band will be a three-piece band since it is damn hard to find long-haired musicians who own 80s apparel and can even play in south Germany. Yes, I care about working with excellent musicians. Frank McDouglas, for example, is originally a classically trained piano player, Roland endorses Orion cymbals and appears at music trade shows over Europe – and me, I’m just working here (to quote Gene Simmons – less modesty next time).
