Counterfeit Disc And Bootleg Seller Arrested

Following an investigation by the BPI and the Lothian and Borders Police into an illicit web site, a 48 year old lady has been detained for the manufacture and sale of counterfeit and bootleg discs of predominantly rock and heavy metal music to a worldwide distribution list.
During the raid, the police seized over 2000 master discs, together with vinyl records and three PC base units.
In the course of police enquiries, the accused also openly admitted to regularly sharing files via P2P networks, such as Demonoid
