The Wörld is Classic Rock’s, after Motörhead sign Future deal
Motörhead have become the latest act to sign up to Future Publishing’s magazine-plus-CD initiative, for the UK release of their new album The Wörld Is Yours.
Following the release of Slash’s eponymous solo album with Future’s Classic Rock magazine earlier this year, Motörhead’s new album will hit newsstands on December 14 as a Classic Rock Presents… Motörhead fan-pack. This will comprise a 132-page magazine plus the album on CD and will sell at £14.99.
Following a four-week period of exclusivity, the album will then be released generally on January 17 in a standard CD format.
The deal was arranged by Motörhead Music/UDR, EMI Label Services and Future Publishing.
The Slash album package with Classic Rock sold 30,000 copies before going on general release, prompting Future to look for further album deals of this kind for its Classic Rock and Metal Hammer titles.
