INDIE WEEK EXTENDS ARTIST APPLICATION DEADLINE

Apply for a Chance to Showcase at INDIE WEEK CANADA 2010 and a Chance to Tour Ireland – Deadline July 16, 2010.

INDIE WEEK is an artist-friendly festival that breaks bands to the European market by awarding the Best of the Fest an overseas tour with INDIE WEEK IRELAND. For many indie artists, an European tour is a rare thing. Regardless of who is voted Best of the Fest, INDIE WEEK works with all bands on a grassroots level to gain top-notch exposure, valuable networking opportunities and new fans. Canada’s premier indie music festival INDIE WEEK CANADA has extended its artist application deadline to Friday, July 16, 2010. Artists can apply online or by mail to participate in the 120+ band festival, taking place Oct. 13-17, 2010 in Toronto’s best rock venues. Full details can be found at http://www.IndieWeek.com

In true indie tradition, the festival is growing immeasurably. Fantastic new parties have been added to the bill: In addition to the Irish showcase (which has sold out every year!), 2010 will see the addition of Australian, Hamilton, and East Coast Kitchen showcases! Late-night parties where the taps flow ‘til 4am can also be expected.

INDIE WEEK is also excited to announce the venues that are participating in this year’s festival. Toronto’s best live music venues including Bovine Sex Club, Bread & Circus, Cherry Cola’s, The Drake Hotel, El Mocambo, Hard Luck Club, Hideout, Rivoli and Velvet Underground are joining us for yet another year!
