Live Report From 1000 Mods / Down N Out / Radio Moscow In Athens

The day of the concert was a risk because it was in the middle of a 3 days National Holiday for Greece, so I wasn’t sure if the club would be full or empty. Fortunately many guys remained in Athens and so there were about 250 – 300 persons during the concert. It’s not bad for a group that is talented but not having the perfect amount of fame yet.

1000 Mods is a new band but their music is a cool stoner rock with influences from blues rock, maybe in the future we have to hear more from them

Down N Out was the pleasant surprise of the night: an absolutely professional band that plays good classic rock / blues in the veins of ZZ Top. Of course the unexpected thing that caused the attention was the invitation at Talita, a UK girl , to dance for them onstage and strip for the audience.

Radio Moscow could be the coolest tribute band of Jimi Hendrix with their sensational and distorted sound, they are down to earth guys but the music on stage is a proof that they’re high talented musicians. The audience semed to enjoy the show and I am sure that most of the persons didn’t know them, now they have a reason to look for their music.
