1. TELL ME A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE PERIOD THAT YOU WERE IN 24-7 SPYZ

At that time ‘Hardcore’ was still underground and ‘Alternative’ was just starting out? you rarely saw a band playing these types of music on television, especially an all black band? people were playing just to play? not for a ‘Record Deal’ and to get on ‘MTV’ man it was just a natural thing to do. It was fun to play your music and be broke, then! at that time you had bands like ( U2 ) and pop bands like that all over (Billboard) you would’ve NEVER saw a band like ( BAD BRAINS ) on TV. and I don’t think even till this day have i saw Bad Brains on ANY TV. shows. But the FACT of that question is simple then it was for the love of the music now it’s for the money.

2. WHY DID YOU LEAVE FROM 24-7 SPYZ?

I was tired of it all? You see life in a ‘Signed Band’ is much different then when your a ‘struggling band’ for instance? when your struggling you all TRUST in each other’s judgements you stick together more because you all have the same common goal? it’s a simple process ‘but’ when your a ‘Signed Band’ the goals become blurry you start having all of these people in your business that wasn’t there when you had nothing! trying to pull you apart from each other. Man I could tell you so many different stories on this subject that you’ll probably will not have enough paper to print it on! so here’s an example; There’s a (Famous Band) that i know very well that HATES each other but on stage there MAGIC! one of the guys always went to the bands accountant to get money, it seemed like he never had money? in all he borrowed $50.000 from the band and THEY never knew it until THEY ALL had to PAY for HIS MISTAKE. So you see I was a little tired of the LIES.

3. THESE DAYS RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS THAT HAVE THE SAME FUNKY SOUND 24-7 SPYZ HAD ,ARE SUPERSTARS! WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE SAME THING DIDN’T HAPPEN WITH 24-7 SPYZ?

That’s an EASY ONE! we weren’t there! the Original line-up broke up to early and the guitar/bass player’s got a new singer & drummer and didn’t tell the PUBLIC about it? Man you can’t fool your FANS! their the one’s that put FOOD on your table. NEVER!! cheat your FANS and that’s what they did and for that! they fell out of heaven like Lucifer. On the other hand ( Chilli Pepper’s) were always there! even when they had problems, they were ALWAYS here.

4. WHAT ARE YOU DOING THESE DAYS, ANY NEW GROUP OR PROJECTS?

Yes! I have a ‘New Project’ coming out this year called ( Black Vampires ) at this moment we’re putting together a short film to be seen on the ‘Internet’ and then we have many of things that comes with that Parties, Fashion, Music, Internet Interaction,etc…… Everything under the sun that’s cool as hell is ( BLKVAMPIRES ) hell yeah? a web-site is being constructed now it should be finished by mid April ( BLKVAMPIRES.COM ) APRIL 2001.

5. ANY GOOD OR BAD EXPERIENCES FROM THE MUSIC INDUSTRY! TELL ME THE FACTS?

The GOOD is that you have a lot of fun time go’s by in a flash, you travel, see the world, meet people, eat well and hear yourself on the radio, see yourself on television and everyone that knows you thinks that you did something worthwhile with your life. The BAD is Your just a puppet? for every penny that you make someone else is making $10.00? Case in point? Toni Braxton sold over 5 million records for $14.00 a cd. for each record sold she only got ( 35 cents ) a copy? I wonder who was getting the other $13.65? I’ll tell you ( The Industry?). It’s amazing how we see ‘the artist’ and not the people behind them. Do you think that “brittany Spears” have more money then the people behind her? answer-hell no.

6. YOUR OPINION ABOUT “NEW BANDS” AND WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO THESE DAYS?

I like a lot of the New Bands that are coming out these days it’s just that they all are starting to sound alike? Just because the formula worked for them that doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you? for instance I’ve heard people say that (Primus) sounds like s*#t but at least I can say that they were the FIRST of there kind and if someone was to sound anything like them, it’ll be a rip-off band? it’s important to me to be the FIRST of your kind in anything that you do so other can follow YOU. not the other way around. And for the bands that I listen to in these days are; Incubus, Chilli Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Moby, Disturbed, Liquid Gang, Marilyn Manson, Erykah Badu, Jay-z, a lot of bands man I listen to EVERYTHING. music is like reading a book? it effects you in some way and if the artist is creating something that you can feel? and not because (MTV)is trying to tell you what to feel and buy, (What’s Hot/What’s Not)but what YOU feel as an indivisual, then the artist becomes one of your favourite authors and you’ll always enjoy what they bring to the WORLD. peace.
