Statistics about the global investment in music
According to a recent report by IFPI, the global investment in A&R and Marketing in 2015 was 4.5 billion US$. Moreover,it is estimated that the 27% share of record company revenues invested in A&R and marketing and the typical cost of breaking a wordwide-signed artist in a major market such as US and UK is $0.5 – $2 million. Francis Moore, Chief Executive of IFPI, alongside Alison Wenham, WIN CEO, said: “Investing in Music highlights not just record companies’ financial investment in artists, but also the enduring value they bring to artists’ careers.”
