BMG Builds Presence In Italian Soundtrack Market
BMG Italy has signed worldwide partnership agreements with Italian film production companies Indiana and Less Is More Produzioni.
The deal gives BMG publishing and master rights to 10 films currently in production. Among these are the latest films from directors including Gabriele Muccino, Rocco Papaleo, Paolo Virzì, Francesca Archibugi, and Academy Award winner Gabriele Salvatores.
Game Therapy, set to open on 22 October, is the first of the 10 to be released. Starring Italy’s most famous Youtuber FaviJ, the movie is already tipped to be a hit among Italian youth. FaviJ’s has over 1.2 million subscribers to his channel, featuring humorous reviews of videogames.
Multimedia company Indiana was found in 2005 and is managed by Benedetto Habib, Fabrizio Donvito and Marco Cohen. Its four offices in Milan, Rome, Los Angeles and Berlin offer services ranging from film and TV production to talent scouting and publishing.
Less Is More was founded by the Basilicata-born artist Rocco Papaleo, and renowned audiovisual and music executive Carlo Pontesilli.
