YouTube Adds 1K Royalty-Free Songs To YouTube Audio Library

YouTube announced that it is expanding the YouTube Audio Library with the addition of more than a thousand, new, royalty-free tracks available as 320 Kbps MP3 files from top musicians around the world, including Kevin MacLeod, who has produced thousands of royalty-free audio tracks that have been used by many YouTube creators; Chris Zabriskie, who tracks have been used by hundreds of organizations including the BBC, NPR, Adidas, Nissan, the Museum of Modern Art; and composer, producer and engineer Jason Shaw. In addition to offering creators thousands of free songs, background music and sound effects that can be used in monetized videos, the YouTube Audio Library also gives creators access to millions of copyright-protected songs from top musicians on YouTube.

While music and sound effects can dramatically improve a video, it can be expensive, time-consuming, or complicated to license the right music. By offering a wide array of free, royalty-free options, YouTube is working to help creators take their videos to the next level.

The top five most popular tracks used by creators from the YouTube Audio Library include “The Creek” by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena, “Mr. Pink” by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena, “Good Starts” by Jingle Punks, “Dub Zap” by Gunnar Olsen, and “Sound Off” by Jingle Punks.
