FRANK ZAPPA Musicians Reunite At German Festival This Summer

Frank Zappa was a prolific composer and rock musician of the 20th century who produced 100 albums in his career and was known for both the outrageousness, but also complexity and brilliance of his music. Nowadays there are a small number of international Frank Zappa tribute bands still spreading the word across the globe. In July, in Bad Doberan in the former East Germany, many of these bands plus more than 10 ex members of Zappa’s own band will converge for the 26th Zappanale festival.

Amongst the many shows will be a special tribute to one of Zappa’s most famous albums “Joes Garage” performed by 5 of the original musicians who appeared on that album back in 1979 ! They are Ike Willis, Ed Mann,Denny Walley,Jeff Hollie and Craig “Twister” Steward.

This glittering line up will be backed up by one of Europes’ top Zappa bands ,ZAPPATiKA.

Their show will begin at 6pm on Saturday 18th July and will be streamed live on www.rockradio.de
