A Jamaica startup has stepped out into the world of big data, by launching what it touts as, “Music’s Most Powerful Search Engine”. Muigle.com, currently in beta phase, is a music search engine that has indexed over 13 million publicly accessible audio and video files on the Internet to deliver powerful multimedia search results.
The site does not host any audio, as its impressive search technology delivers attractive search results displaying, bio info, social media presences, videos, audio streams, and available mp3’s for download.
Spearheaded by a DevOp team dubbed, “Muigle+”, the motley crew of young programmers, knowledgeable technocrats, Music professionals, and experienced Jamaican business stalwarts, are being led by Jamaican serial Internet entrepreneur, Lloyd Laing, who revealed the team’s plan to officially launch Muigle in June 2015 once they have added the finishing touches, which will include the ability to purchase searched tracks from Itunes or Amazon.
