1. First of all, tell us the history of “The Last Winter”

The story begins with Hater and Sisco in the 1996, they started to play  together that year. During the years the band changed names and musicians a lot of time, finding  the first solid line up with in1998 with Alessandro Pensini And Ivan Perres,  this line up recorded Iara, the first demo of the band. After that Alessandro left the band and his place was took by sk. With his entering something changed in the band, we found the fourth member  we was looking for(we know it sound a little romantic but that is!!). Know we are really united without any leader or similar.

2.Tell us some details for the demo cd’s “Dust” and “IRA”

On ira you can find two songs of he production between 1996/1998, so songs  wrote by Hater and Sisco, anyway we arranged them with Alessandro and Ivan, so the songs changed a lot!!! Those song reflect what we falt in the moment we recorded them. We never  thought about genre or similar. We just composed what we felt, arranged what we felt, recorded what we felt. We are totally unable to describe that work!!we can only say that is the  beginning of the story.. By the other and Dust has benn composed in 2002 by ALL The Last Winter, we  really love this songs because is the song in which we finally opened at all our mind. It represents the birth of a new band, our four minds working together for the same reason: Express ourselves.

3. Is there any feedback from the audience about these demo cd till now ?

The people seams really to like Ira, Dust and our gigs, this really make us  happy!!! The reviews until now are very very good (except a very bad  ones but too bad to be serious)and really different from each other, every  review describe us in different way.that is good.we really don’t want to be  labelled!!!

4. Which is the procedure when you write the songs?

We write some riff at home individually, we play them together.match two of  them and then we start to try and try and try and try different versions  with different riffs and structure.we also use a lot pc for “mixing” riffs  (two not good riffs can be one beautyfull riff!) and record the different  versions of the songs.

5. Have you already played any gig?

Yes.

6.Your influences from the metal scene?

We are influenced by the MUSIC scene, but they are not influences. They are Lessons we learn. Every good musicians can teach you something. But if you play the way of this the way of that..you’d better don’t play. We started  make music to have something new to listen.

7.Tell me you favorite album and your favorite band

We listen to so much music that is really hard to answer!!! We love Death, Slayer Queen soad Alice In Chains, Ramstein , Pink Floyd, how can we answer?…pleas let’s change question we could sound more stupid than we are!!J

8. Where do you come from?

We are from Italy, From Rome Hater Sisco and Ivan, from Scurcola Marsicana sk

9.Tell me your opinion about the metal scene in your country

There is too much jealousy between the bands first of all! It is really sad.  After this we really don’t like the mentality of “playing the way of..” That  in Italy is really strong but the most important problem of Italian  musicians is the hurry! It seams like people want to be called musician but  don’t want to make good music. And ,the most important, Italian metal people are really really closed minded!!

10. Do you know anything about the metal scene in Greece?

Unfotunally no!

11. What are your plans in the future for “The Last Winter”?

We want to grow up, to play and to be always satisfied by our music, the
rest isn’t really important

12. Is metal a way of your life?

Absolutely no!!!! free in the music ,free in your life!!!!

13. I found you through internet, do you think that the net can replace the
old underground days?

Yes we think!! The net made the underground worldwide and democratised the
press! You don’t need to have money to stamp a press to express your ideas
on music!!

14.Thanks for your interview and close the interview as you like.

Music has no limit. Don’t limit the music
