Dave Lombardi Promoted To Vice President Of Promotion For Caroline


Dave Lombardi has been promoted to Vice President of Promotion for Caroline – the Independent Services division of Capitol Music Group – it was announced by Caroline Executive Vice President/General Manager, Mike Harris, to whom Lombardi reports. He will be based in New York.

In his new position, Lombardi will head Caroline’s promotion department and be responsible for conceiving and directing the company’s promotion strategies while establishing and maintaining strong relationships and interaction with Caroline’s many label and artist partners. Among the many projects and records on Lombardi’s slate are “Addicted To Pain” by Alter Bridge (Alter Bridge Recordings, LLC) “I Love You” from Said The Whale (Hidden Pony), “Wanna Feel It” by The Olms (Harvest), “Lost Innocent World” from Gogol Bordello (ATO), and “Get Me Golden” from Terraplane Sun (Trauma 2), among others.

Dominic Pandiscia, President of Caroline stated, “Dave has been an integral part of the Promotion team that has driven success for Caroline artists such as M83, Slash, Alter Bridge and more in recent years. Additionally, his years of experience at Astralwerks, EMI and other labels, breaking singles and working with artists at every level of development, are truly unmatched”

Harris added, “Over the past 10 years, I have had a front row seat watching Dave’s success working with a vast array of records and artists. Caroline is thrilled to have such a proven leader at the helm of our Promotion team.”

Lombardi said, “I am thrilled to be part of the shared vision for the new Caroline, led by Dom and Mike, and I cannot thank them enough for the opportunity. I’m excited to be working with such a great group of people and making my contribution to the team by running promotion. Everyone at Caroline is passionate about music and driven to deliver for our artist and label partners. Plus, we all feel the buzz of the re-energized Capitol Music Group under the leadership of Steve Barnett, Greg Thompson and Michelle Jubelirer, and I know that great times lie ahead.”

Concurrent with his expanded role, Lombardi has named Amber Bouchard as National Director, Promotion, Midwest, who was Program Director at WEQX in Albany, and Chris Seeger as National Director, Promotion, West Coast, who spent nearly 20 years at Warner Bros. Records and was most recently at In2une. Both Bouchard and Seeger report to Lombardi, who added, “I am beyond excited to be working with Amber and Chris – our new promo team stars.”

Dave Lombardi joined the company in 2004 as Head of Promotion for Astralwerks/EMI before transitioning to Head of Promotion for Caroline, then National Promotion Director for EMI Special Ops. While at the company, he has worked on behalf of a diverse array of recording artists, including Slash, M83, The Kooks, Morning Parade and Chemical Brothers. He was named Senior Director of Alternative and Rock Promotion for Arista Records in 2004, working records for Outkast, among others. He held various promotion positions for Warner Bros. Records, beginning in 1989, enjoying success with records from Goo Goo Dolls, REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Ministry, Candlebox, Linkin Park and Tom Petty.

He began his career as a club DJ at numerous venues, including the China Club in New York City and the Loop Lounge in Passaic Park, New Jersey. He became National Dance Promotion Manager at Island/4th & B’Way in 1987, promoting M/A/R/R/S “Pump Up The Volume” and records for Tone Loc, Eric B. and Rakim, and The Pogues. He also spent a brief stint as National Alternative Promotion representative for Pellegrino Promotions.
