Imagem Music Signs Multi-Platinum Selling Band Counting Crows

Imagem Music USA has signed a worldwide, multi-year administration agreement with Counting Crows. Hailing from Berkeley, California, the Counting Crows gained worldwide popularity after the release of their 1993 debut album August and Everything After, which featured the hit single “Mr. Jones”. Twenty years later, the band – Adam Duritz (vocals), Jim Bogios (drums), David Bryson (guitar), Charlie Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Millard Powers (bass) and Dan Vickrey (guitar) – has sold more than twenty million albums worldwide and have proved their longevity with five more full length studio albums: Recovering the Satellites (1996), This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings (2008), and Under Water Sunshine (2012). The band received an Academy Award nomination in 2004 for their song “Accidentally in Love”, which was featured in the film Shrek 2.

Counting Crows have toured with artists including Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and The Cranberries and are currently wrapping up a U.S. tour with The Wallflowers. The sold out 24-stop tour kicked off June 14 in Farmingville, NY and traveled through cities like Boston, Chicago and San Francisco before wrapping on July 21 in Costa Mesa, CA. Every ticket purchased for the tour came with a digital download code for the band’s latest live album Echoes of The Outlaw Roadshow. For more information, please visit www.countingcrows.com.

“I remember hearing the Counting Crows on radio for the first time when I was just starting out in the business. Anchored by Adam’s amazingly distinct voice I was blown away by their story telling, musicianship and vocal harmonies. It is an honor to welcome them to the Imagem family,” said Rich Stumpf, President of Imagem Music.
