ITUNES VERSION OF KIKO LOUREIRO’S ‘SOUNDS OF INNOCENCE’ NOW RELEASED, APPEARANCES ANNOUNCED
Fans have been patiently awaiting the fourth solo studio effort from Brazilian
guitarist Kiko Loureiro, ‘Sounds of Innocence.’
And today, the iTunes

This version will contain the full album and and a free download of
track-by-track instructional videos with album purchase, the first time this
feature has ever been included on a iTunes album release.

And the early feedback that Kiko has received has been simply outstanding, as
evidenced by a review in Guitar Player Magazine, who praised “This guy is
supremely talented with not just impeccable technique and timing but also great
composing and arranging chops. This album is definitely on the heavy rock side
(as opposed to his jazzier Universo Inverso), but his chord work goes way beyond
power chording and his melodies feature big intervals and surprising jumps that
make the shredding that much more impressive.”
And to promote the release, Kiko will be interviewed on Monday, July 8th at 8
p.m. eastern time, live on the air by ‘That Metal Show’ co-host Eddie Trunk, on
his Sirius XM Satellite radio show. Additionally, the legendary progressive rock
band, Yes, has invited Kiko to serve as a celebrity counselor on Yes’ “Rock
Camp” in Las Vegas. On Sunday, July 14^th Kiko is confirmed to perform as part
of the Yes camp jam, which will be streamed live, and on Monday, July 15^th, he
will be teaching a “master class” at Yes

Although ‘Sounds of Innocence’ is completely instrumental (which helped
establish the guitarist’s career in Europe and Japan), according to Loureiro, it
is an incredibly personal piece of music, that will succeed in establishing him
in the US (a main goal of the musician, as it is the country that he now calls
home). “All the reflective moments during the past year of my life are somehow
represented in the ten songs from ‘Sounds of Innocence.'”
Additionally, the album will be promoted by appearances on The Guitar Asylum TV,
The Chop Shop Radio Show, etc., while Kiko will be also touring with Angra, and
on June 14th, Kiko headlined a sold-out show at Sao, Paulo’s prestigious
AUDITORIO IBIRAPUERA, that was filmed for a DVD release titled ‘The White
Balance’ – due in the fall of 2013.
