Raging Lines – Yamaha 237

The song begins with a sound that finds a balance between a more modern alternative rock approach in its performance and a strong 1980s aesthetic in the arrangement. The song has a nostalgic but dynamic vibe due to the synth lines, which especially lean toward early 1980s pomp rock. With slight high-frequency tones (during the chorus) that recall bands like HIM, the vocals take on a contemporary feel as they develop. The production  combines its darker tone with brighter, light-hearted synth phrases, while the baritone vocals carries a heavy heart. The primary driving synth lines are particularly strong since they refuse to be limited to a certain genre. They contribute a playful groove that keeps the song moving ahead while decreasing the vocals’ intensity. You are forced to hit play again toward the end of the track, this time focusing more closely on the orchestration, mix, and rhythmic flow. It’s an intriguing composition that is worth hearing again and again. Bravo!
