Desu Taem – Three Suns
Desu Taem’s “Three Suns” is an interesting trip through darkness and surrealism, reminding of a late-night revelation offered via smoke and echo. The song begins with a dark, depressing guitar line, creating a slow mood before the bass comes in, creating the atmosphere with a heavy useful rhythm. A storytelling vocal comes up fast, deep and almost whispered, similar to the spirit of Jim Morrison and The Doors but not imitating them. Instead, Desu Taem creates something more broke down and surreal, a psychedelic haze mixed with up to date senses. The production avoids cliché by inserting folk-acoustic elements during the chorus, which stand out against the darkness of the lines. The sudden bursts of light feel like the sunlight across a fogged-out mental landscape. The song’s unusual rock structure works in its favor; it feels amorphous, adventurous, and emotionally transparent. The tempo and mood have a grunge vibe, but the overall effect is more experimental psychedelic, mixing genres in a way that is both alarming and engaging.
