Honey Bombs – Berserk
Honey Bombs’ “Berserk” begins with an outburst of groovy metal energy, featuring complicated drumming patterns and screaming guitar lines that strike an explosive atmosphere. The opening guitar solo is significantly progressive metal-influenced, with precision in technique. With the addition of vocals, the music becomes more complicated, with changing rhythms and sophisticated interaction between instruments. While the song’s ambitious structure and strong performance function well, the mix might be improved, particularly around the vocal parts. Enhancing the voice lines with effects (reverb, delay) and adding more dynamic panning would increase overall impact and allow the vocals to move more comfortably inside the mix. Still, the melodic ideas are good, and the band’s skills as musicians are obvious. The outstanding point is at 3:37, when a technically brilliant guitar solo takes the spotlight. It’s a standout moment that also reinforces the track’s progressive themes. “Berserk” is an adventurous release that hints at even greater promise with a little more polish in production. I am looking forward to the next track 🙂
