Sun Atoms – Take This Love

Sun Atoms’ “Take This Love” is a colorful journey into the realm of psychedelic electronic music, combining groovy rhythm with a dreamy, acid house sound. The song begins with a catchy beat, setting the tone for the ethereal vocals that follow. These vocals have a mysterious and seductive vibe to them, which adds another interesting element to the already engaging mix. As the song continues, more layers of music are introduced at the 1:01 mark, adding depth and complexity to the piece. The pleasant rhythm remains, but the addition of odd Hawkwind-inspired synthesizers from the 1990s takes the dancing sensation to new heights. These synthesizers provide a futuristic, even extraterrestrial atmosphere to the music, making it attracting and energetic. One of the most memorable moments occurs at 3:29, when the music suddenly fades away, just to return, providing a nice surprise for listeners who remain interested throughout the piece. This brilliant production choice gives the song a distinct twist, rewarding those who listen beyond the opening few seconds (attentive listeners vs casual listeners). As the song progresses, it builds on its indie dance basis, helped by futuristic synthesizers that drive it to a satisfying finale. “Take This Love” is the ideal combination of retro 1990s influences with current indie components, making it a must-listen for enthusiasts of both psychedelic and dance music.
