NAMESAKE TO FINISH OFF YEAR WITH A TOUR TREK WITH R5 TO PROMOTE DEBUT ALBUM

Imagen Records band NameSake has had a monumental year with the release of their debut album Borders & Fences produced by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, New Found Glory) and national tours with Allstar Weekend, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Sparks The Rescue, Eve6 and Everclear to name a few.  Now the band is excited to end 2012 with a trek of dates with R5 kicking off on December 18 at New York’s Highline Ballroom.

NameSake is: Will Crafton (singer), Brad Wagner (guitar), Troy Harmon (guitar), Seth Van Dusen (bass) and Kevin Nordeste (drums).

The band’s DIY resolve has not gone unnoticed; Substream Music Press said “NameSake will accomplish great things by continuing on their current path. This band proves that nothing stands in the way of determination” and Melodic says their debut album is “energy filled Pop/Rock ready for the charts” while Guitar International calls it “raw emotion” and Pure Volume said “they work through each thoughtful verse with thunderous percussion, massive guitar riffs, deeply melodic vocals and an unwavering sense of spirit.”

With their distinctive mix of edgy, punk, power pop Namesake could be on
the verge of altering the punk pop genre.
