PORCUPINE TREE TO RELEASE LIVE TWO-DISC SET “OCTANE TWISTED” NEXT MONTH

It has been over three years since Porcupine Tree released its latest album The Incident, a collection that marked another step forward in the incredible journey of the band from a solo studio project created by Steven Wilson in the late eighties, to a Grammy nominated act and one of the world’s most revered live bands currently selling out arenas across the globe. Now, Porcupine Tree is proud to announce the impending release of Octane Twisted, a double-disc live set recorded at The Rivera, Chicago, Ill. and Royal Albert Hall, London, U.K. to be released in North America on November 20th via Kscope.

Octane Twisted consists of The Incident – the band’s 10th studio album – live in its entirety recorded in Chicago. The second CD contains five classic Porcupine Tree tracks also recorded in Chicago, along with three highlights from the band’s landmark show at Royal Albert Hall. All the songs were recorded during the tour that supported The Incident, which went Top 30 in both the U.S. and U.K. in 2009.

A special edition version of Octane Twisted with a bonus DVD of the Chicago performance can be pre-ordered now at: https://www.burningshed.com/store/porcupinetree/product/51/4174/.

Porcupine Tree is unquestionably one of the most difficult-to-categorize and innovative bands working today. The band is fronted by Steven Wilson, who also is well-known for his work producing other artists, from Swedish progressive metal group, Opeth, to Norwegian chanteuse, Anja Garbarek.

The Incident takes the listener on a haunting, desolate, hypnotic and euphoric journey in a way only Porcupine Tree can. One of the only constants in Porcupine Tree’s music is how it continues to evolve and confront the expectations of the band’s fans from album to album.

Stay tuned for more information on Porcupine Tree and Octane Twisted, out this fall on Kscope.
