.Jack White Angers New York Fans With Short Set
The former White Stripes singer sparked a flurry of Twitter hate from those unhappy with his hour-long Radio City Music Hall appearance. The musician angered fans Saturday night by playing an abbreviated set at Radio City Music Hall without following it up with an encore. Reports of how long White played vary, but one concert goer tells THR he performed for about an hour. There was no announcement that the concert had ended after White abruptly left the stage.
“Nobody left because we couldn’t believe it was over,” the attendee says.
Speculation spread as to why the set was so short. A New York Observer reporter, who was at the concert, tweeted a Radio City security guard said White was unhappy with the sound. Another fan guessed White was angry many of the tickets had been purchased by scalpers.
Regardless of the reason, the concert sparked plenty of Twitter venom.
Well at least I can finally give an answer to the worse concert I’ve ever been to.Jack White at Radio City.
