Erik & The Wordly Savages – Break Free

The multicultural journey of Erik & The Wordly Savages in this album begins with the Punk rock, Ska, Alternative Rock of USA and Great Britain and ends up with the Ethnic sounds of the Balcan countries of Serbia and Bulgaria. The artist, who travelled from Canada to Sebia for business, decided to travel with us in the music universe of the Balkans. The musical influences that I can hear on this album are multi-disciplined (from Stranglers, Madness to Goran Bregovic and beyond), however, the general atmosphere of the album is “Punk” due to the anger, protest, and the unorthodox (but successful) combination of traditional Folk music and modern rock music. The “Ethnic Punk” orchestration is also helped by the cool audio production that makes you hear clearly both the basic “drums-bass-guitar” sounds and the additional traditional musical instruments. I am sure that you could enjoy this song as long as you are open-minded and like to experiment with new and different musical moods. Just break free with free music!
