LEGACY OF DISORDER HIT TOP SPOT OF CMJ METAL RADIO CHART
A band never forgets the first time they hit the top of the charts. And New Zealand-by-way-of-Texas metallists Legacy of Disorder have just scored the #1 Most Added Record on CMJ’s Metal Radio Chart. The band scored 55 new adds, which means that in a week-long span, Legacy of Disorder impacted their album, ‘Last Man Standing,’ at radio, and more college stations reported it in their top five official adds than any other record added to new rotation. To put it in perspective, this is difficult for a well-established band to do, much less an up-and-coming one!
Comprised of James Robinson (lead singer), Rana Freilich (lead guitarist), Jason Keill (bass), and Matt Thompson (drums), Legacy of Disorder worked with Dallas-based producer Sterling Winfield – who has worked in the past with Pantera, Damageplan, and Hellyeah – on ‘Last Man Standing.’
“Naturally, being fans of Pantera, we wanted to work with the same mastermind behind the scenes of such a great band,” says Freilich. “After doing our demo here in New Zealand, we wanted the album to be the best it could, so we jumped on a plane, headed to Dallas, got stuck in with Sterling on our debut album [2008′ self-titled release] – which sounds great – and have been friends and worked together ever since.”
The quartet just wrapped up a U.S. tour with Gwar, and have just launched a tour with Fear Factory, Shadows Fall, the Browning, and the Devastated. And with the exciting news of the group hitting the top spot at CMJ, the word is spreading fast and furious about Legacy of Disorder. Come see what the buzz is all about!
