The seven songs that appear onX, were painstakingly hand-picked by THE MERCY KILLS.  After many squabbles and fights over which songs would make the cut, the band settled on the best seven songs that deliver a strong representation of their releases to date. They enjoy new life with slick remastering that adds a new dimension to them.

Fall is a post-punk inspired song about trying to keep in control of your life, while things feel like they are falling apart around you. This high energy track has always been a favourite between the band members and is still relevant to them today.

ABOUT THE MERCY KILLS
Mix two parts dirty rock with two parts sleaze punk and you get a four shot cocktail called THE MERCY KILLS featuring Mark E (Vox/Guitar), Jen X Costello (Bass/Vox), Nathalie Gellé (Guitar/Vox) and Josh Black (Drums).

Their tastes in music, the desire to write great songs and blast out a killer live show were the key factors shared by this four-piece outfit.  THE MERCY KILLS took their name from a line in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, “It was a mercy killing”.

“Take the energy from ‘Appetite for Destruction’ era Guns ‘N’ Roses, mix it with some ‘Ramones’ style punk, a lot of energy and you have ‘THE MERCY KILLS’…”
– SF Media (Brisbane)
“Their dramatic set included flaming drumsticks and power riffs, worthy of international rock stars”. –  Live Music (Adelaide)
“Should you happen across a flyer with ‘THE MERCY KILLS’ written anywhere on it, make note of the date, and keep the night free”. – SF Media (Melbourne)
“Big, brash, and bold were ‘THE MERCY KILLS’. The band’s energy screeched like a rogue ‘68 Camaro right until the very end…”  – The Music (Sydney)
