THE STRANGLERS release brand new studio album “Giants” via earMUSIC on March 9th, 2012


earMUSIC, Hamburg based rock branch of Edel Group, is proud to announce the release of “Giants”, the eagerly awaited new studio album by The Stranglers on March 9th, 2012 through its network all over the globe, (excl. UK and North America). The record coincides with an extensive European tour, kicking off March 1st in the UK, ending April 27th in Belgium.

The Stranglers are Jet Black (drums), JJ Burnel (bass and lead vocals), Dave Greenfield (keyboards) and Baz Warne (guitar and lead vocals). Giants is featuring JJ Burnel and Baz Warne on shared vocal duties, boasting the trademark Stranglers’ bass lines and keyboard runs as well as a tango (!) plus the first instrumental the band has recorded in over twenty years. During their career the Stranglers have garnered a total of 24 “Top 40” singles in four decades as well as eighteen “Top 40” albums. Hits include Peaches, No More Heroes, 5 Minutes, Duchess, Something
Better Change, Always The Sun, Golden Brown, Strange Little Girl and Skin Deep
amongst others.
The Stranglers have inspired and influenced entire generations of alternative pop
and rock bands. Their distinctive logo is a trademark of quality, still shining after decades of changes in fashions and trends.

A special limited edition of “Giants” will be made available for a limited period. The deluxe edition will feature an extra live CD, never before released and recorded at the most recent Stranglers’ Fan Convention in November 2011.

Upfront releasing the brand new studio album “Giants”, earMUSIC is going to put out two more Stranglers products: the live DVD “Rattus At The Roundhouse” as well as the Unplugged-CD “Acoustic In Brugge” will hit streets on February 10th, 2012. Coming in a nice packaging and design, these products are available for the first time!
