WEDNESDAY 13…Morgue Than Words !

Interview with Wed 13

1. Please introduce your self to our readers…

Hello, I’m Wednesday 13

2. Murderdolls?

Yes, I was the singer and songwriter for this band. They are a dead horse right now but maybe someday again…

3. You music style after Frankestein Drag Queens is moving more to heavy rock than punk. Any comments about it?

I think its just natural progression. The last FDQ album was heading this direction anyway. Its kind of always been a mix of punk, rock, and metal.

4. What does your lifestyle represents for you and your music?

Just freedom to do what you want and living life by your own rules.

5. What’s your relationship with horror movies?

I grew up watching them and really loved the imagery. Once i created my own band i started incorporating that into the image as well. Its a life long love for the generation and culture of horror.

6. Why did you decide to leave your label and release your album almost on your own with selective distribution at least for USA. Would you like to tell me all the details?

I was sick of going through labels and losing control of my art and music every album. I really believed that i would succeed and achieve more by releasing it on my own. So far I have been right and I could not be happier with this decision.

7. What are the differences between your latest album Skeletons and your previous material?

Its heavier, and more personal than the past two. I really don’t want to repeat myself but at the same time I don’t want to stray to far from what I’m known for and alienate my fan base. I think I succeeded on maintaining what I’m known for and stepping out of the box a bit on Skeletons.

8. Please introduce us to the world of “Skeletons”…

It’s the darkest, strangest, most open and honest place I’ve taken my audience before. I don’t plan on revisiting this place again anytime soon either for the record.

9. Are you satisfied with your management in USA & abroad?

Yes, I’m very happy with the direction I’m going and what is going on around me at the moment.

10. How are you going to promote your new album? Any innovative ideas?

Just tour, and tour.

11. Have you ever thought to be involved in horror cinema?

Yes, I’m interested but no plans for the moment. maybe in the future?

12. What about touring?

That’s really all I’m doing now, and the future.

13. Do you face any issues with censorship?

No, I’m on an underground level so that’s really not affecting anyone mainstream to stir up any controversy
